Immerse yourself three sessions of artistic exploration, connection, and inspiration! Whether you're a seasoned creative bookbinder or a curious beginner, join us this set of three monthly gatherings tailored for artists' bookmaking, printmaking, drawing, and creative bookbinding. Expand your skills, share your stories, and dive into the vibrant world of artists' books.

What to Expect
Each session is a journey of creativity, featuring:

  • Exploration & Inspiration: Participate in outings to draw, photograph, and gather ideas.

  • Unique Book Structures: Experiment with innovative bookmaking techniques.

  • Creative Prompts: Spark your imagination with guided prompts.

  • Materials & Techniques: Work with diverse materials to expand your artistic expression.

  • Connection & Collaboration: Bond with fellow artists over shared passions.

This is a space for exploration and experimentation, not a formal class. Beginners are warmly welcome—no prior experience in printmaking, drawing, or bookbinding is necessary.

Session Schedule
Each session includes three meet-ups, from 10am - 2.30pm:

  • 1st Class: 15th February Inspiration Day 10am - 12.30pm Research, draw, photograph, and gather ideas. The first meet-up shall be held at the fish market. We will gather and meet at Fish Market Light Rail Station at 10am! Further information shall be provided upon booking.

  • 15th March: Bookmaking in Bindery 10am - 2pm: Book and model making, Isabelle will demonstrate and share some creative structures.

  • 3rd Class: 13th April: Bookmaking in Bindery 10am - 2pm:Transform your inspiration into creative book art.

Materials & Participation

  • A suggested materials list will be provided (optional).

  • Materials packs will be available for purchase.

  • Bring your favourite supplies: stamp pads, watercolours, papers, illustrations, photocopies, paints, pencils, etc.

  • Enjoy tea and cakes while connecting with other participants!

Attendance is flexible but encouraged for the full experience.

Pricing & Membership

Ensure your membership is up-to-date for 2025.

  • Wild Binder Members: $150 per session (3 meet-ups)

  • Non-Members: $450 per session (3 meet-ups)
