Step into the enchanting world of tunnel books, where history, art, and creativity unite to craft mesmerising three-dimensional scenes. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the origins and evolution of tunnel books, tracing their roots to the Renaissance and the wonders of the camera obscura.
What You’ll Learn:
How to use essential materials, including paper, cutting tools, and adhesives
Step-by-step guidance on assembling layers and designing intricate, three-dimensional scenes
The rich history and artistry that make tunnel books so captivating
Key Details:
No drawing skills are required. All materials will be provided, including a set of illustrations to colour yourself with watercolours or coloured pencils. You’ll take home plenty of leftovers to continue creating more books at your leisure.
Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits during the session.
Important Information:
Suitable for beginners with basic crafting skills (cutting, folding, measuring).
No prior bookbinding experience is required, but confidence with sharp tools and the ability to follow instructions are essential.
