In this workshop, every student is a budding bookbinder, ready to unleash their crafting skills and make something truly special. Guided by our friendly, expert teachers, come and enjoy making your very own books from scratch.

We will provide step-by-step instructions. You’ll learn about different types of bookbinding techniques, use special tools and gather all your pages into beautiful books.

We focus on mastering traditional techniques like 3- and 5-hole pamphlet binding and Japanese stab binding. You’ll enjoy making your own notebooks, sketchbooks, and journals.

In the afternoon, you get to design and craft your own sketchbook and diaries. Expect to go home with armful of beautiful books!

All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll have the chance to choose your favourite materials, including colourful papers and sturdy card stock, to personalise your books.

  • Suitable for complete beginners, classes includes water, juice and snacks.

  • All materials and tools provided.

  • Taught by professional Bookbinders and Early Years Teachers with formal teaching qualification and WWCC.

  • Fully compliance workshop for working with Children.

  • This is a technical workshop, anyone with enthusiasm for making books and sewing is welcome to join in. No experience is necessary, but the workshop requires the use of sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.

  • Drop off is available from 9am, pick up strictly by 5pm.

  • Please bring a nut-free packed lunch, drink bottle and hat as we shall be lunching at the nearby park.
