Get ready to unleash your skills and create something truly special! Learn the art of bookbinding with our friendly, expert teachers, and discover the joy of making your very own books from scratch.
You’ll be introduced to the fascinating world of bookbinding through step-by-step instructions. Learn about different types of books, the tools involved, and how to assemble pages into beautiful creations. By the end, you’ll have your very own sketchbooks, journals, and notebooks!
Embark on a creative journey to design and craft your own sketchbook diaries using printmaking, drawing, and painting techniques. You’ll master basic binding methods like 3- and 5-hole pamphlet binding and Japanese stab binding, and you'll leave with an armful of books by the end of the session.
All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll get to choose your favourite materials, including colourful papers and sturdy card stock, to personalise your book covers.
Please note:
Suitable for complete beginners, classes includes water, juice and snacks.
All materials and tools provided.
Taught by professional Bookbinders and Early Years Teachers with formal teaching qualification and WWCC.
Fully compliance workshop for working with Children.
This is a technical workshop, anyone with enthusiasm for making books and sewing is welcome to join in. No experience is necessary, but the workshop requires the use of sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.
Drop off is available from 9am, pick up strictly by 5pm.
Please bring a nut-free packed lunch, drink bottle and hat as we shall be lunching at the nearby park.
